Medium is for readers, learners, writers, lovers, techies, journalists, TV personalities, politicians, fiction writers... every person can find their interest in this website. I've been a member since 2019. I'm a huge fan of the ease of use and its interface. As a writer, I can write about anything on it and it's great!! Here's a quick Medium update for those who are interested in joining and/or currently members and writers.
I discovered Medium in 2019 after reading Cal Newport's book, Digital Minimalism. I was looking for one source of reliable, entertaining, and thought-provoking articles.
Why Medium and not other content creation websites?
I found Medium had everything - news, opinion, information, education, entertainment. From being a reader, I shifted into a writer.
From the time that I joined, I've written about yoga, long-distance relationships, books, dating, and living simply. I've published over 100 stories since then.
Through Medium, I gained some confidence to publish this website last year, take a few writing courses to work on my writing, and start reading for and writing my first book this year. Despite the absurdity of the last 1.5 years , we're all hanging on, trying to make this 'quiet time' in our homes useful and meaningful.
