A Few Changes Around Here

By Odyssa

October 13, 2021

If you passed by my homepage, you must have seen a few changes in it! The design has changed (thank you, Jhimross, for helping me with tech stuff I cannot do on my own) and you can now see everything in one sweep, or a single scroll.

Ch-ch-changes

Downloading a sample of my book, Like A New Sun Rising: A Collection of Poems on Love from the homepage automatically signs you up to my mailing list.

I swear I don't spam. I need to get better and consistent with sending out those letters. But yes, if you downloaded the pdf file/signed up to my mailing list, welcome!

As part of my mailing list, you will be the first to get freebies, update on upcoming books, deals, and links to other creatives you might want to know about.

Mailing list

Speaking of mailing list, I have moved places from TinyLetter to MailerLite. It looks so much better, and it's so easy to use. While I loved the basic features and simplicity of TinyLetter, I now need something a little more appealing. Designing the letter is also fun to do.

Here's how it looks like on mobile:

New on the menu

Next, there's something new on the menu: Books I Recommend. It's a shortlist of books that are timeless, life-changing (at least to me) and worth reading. I also added a link to my book list since I started tracking books I read in 2017.

Last, I have a slightly bigger list of categories you can now click from the right sidebar of the homepage.

The website is now focused on reading, and books, and blog updates.

What do you think of the new design of the website?
